Basically we are industrialists but at present we have established ourselves as a trader in our country Bangladesh. I like to inform you that at present we have participated in a Tender held by Chittagong Port Authority on 31st May`03 which was named as „TENDER FOR HANDLING OF CONTAINERS BY USING CONTRACTOR`S OWN EQUIPMENT AT ICD YARDS WITH IN PORT PROTECTED AREA ,CHITTAGONG AND INLAND CONTAINER DEPOT (ICD) KAMALAPUR ,DHAKA, BANGLADESH‚‚ for a period of 7(Seven) years i.e.2557 days and hereby was invited sealed tender under two envelope system. The tender was submitted in two envolope system so that the TECHNICAL OFFER AND THE FINANCIAL OFFER ARE SUBMITTED IN SEPARATE TWO ENVELOPE. As per rule of the tender the Technical Offer was opened first to judge the bidders eligibility as per tender schedule , and Secondly only the bidders whose Technical offers are responsive only those bidders financial offer were opened on 9th July`03 for awarding the tender to the lowest bidder.

However I like to inform you that our Company GATCO (Global Agro Trade Pvt Ltd ) Pvt Ltd has been technically qualified and also been the lowest bidder after opening the Financial Offer on 9th July`03 in presence of all other bidders and at present we are in a process to be awarded the tender. We are very hopeful that we will sign the contract agreement with Chittagong Port Authority with in the month of Sep`03. The Contractor shall require to make available at DHAKA INLAND CONTAINER DEPOT AND CHITTAGONG PORT PROTECTED AREA ALL EQUIPMENT IN GOOD OPERATING CONDITION WITH IN 120 DAYS OF SIGNING OF THE CONTRACT AGREEMENT, FAILING WHICH ENTIRE AMOUNT OF PERFOMANCE BOND (which tk 5 million taka or USD$100,000) MAY BE FORFEITED OR ENCASHED. Also note that we have also submitted bid bond amounting to taka 2500,000 or 2.5 million in form of Bank Draft for the Bid Bond in favour of CHITTAGONG PORT AUTHORITY and which may be forfeited if we fail to make the Contract Agreement after being the lowest bidder and being awarded the tender.. I also like to inform you that as per tender document we are required to submit the list and price offer of our equipment to the CPA(Ctg Port Authority before signing the CONTRACT AGREEMENT. Please note that as per tender document at present we are required to import the following Used Equipment which will be imported at the same time. Please note that all equipments should be manufactured not later than 1996.

minimum capacity at first row shall be 35 mton under

spreader,. Capacity at 2nd row shall be minimum 30.5 mton.

1b- REACH STACKER 2 Capable of handling/stacking 20‚ 40‚ and 45‚ empty

(with toplift spreader) containers upto 9‚-6‚‚high at minimum 5(five)- high levelbut

minimum capacity at first row shall be 7mton under

side lift spreader/toplifter spreader,.

2a- LOW MAST FORKLIFT 2 Capacity 5mtones for lifting/carrying/handling of cargo and

suitable for stuffing and unstuffing to and from 8‚-6‚‚

containers



2b- LOW MAST FORKLIFT 2 Capacity 3 mtones for lifting/carrying/handling of cargo and

suitable for stuffing and unstuffing to and from 8‚-6‚‚

containers

3a-STRADDLE CARRIER 2 Capable of handling/stacking 20‚,40‚ and 45‚ loaded ISO

container upto 9‚-6‚‚ high at minimum 1(one) over 3 high.

The minimum capacity under spreader shall be 35 tonne .



Therefore kindly send us your price offer for above mentioned used reachstackers and other equipments which are manufactured with in the year 1996 to 2001 . Please send your competitive offer for the above mentioned all equipment upto C& F Chittagong, Bangladesh or what ever equipment which you have in your stock. If you are in position to supply the equipments kindly inform us asap because we have to travel to your country to see the equipments and their running conditions. Also note that all USED PORT EQUIPMENT which you may offer should be manufactured not latter than 1996.

Kindly offer all kinds of additional services for your machinery such as spare-parts provision at least one years, overhaul and re-building services. also provide logistical solutions for the transport and shipment of equipment without dismantling the equipments. If possible please provide us your detailed stock list (including photos) of used equipment that is continually updated. Please also provide us photographs by e-mail
