Slurry Dosing Control Valves

We are working on a major new mining project and wish to consider the best type of valve for use in dosing both Limestone slurry and Milk of Lime (Ca(OH)2 slurry from Ring Mains into circuits for acid neutralisation control.

The usual approach is to use ON/OFF solenoid valves for this duty to avoid plugging behind a throttled valve.

Does anyone have experience using things like Clarkson "Muscle" valves for these duties?

Other suggestions welcomed.
