Steel coating

Hi . I work at Alcan a aluminum productor.

Here we have a problem of abrasion on a coke cylinder. The coke hit the wall of the cylinder causing abrasion and obviously a hole. So we're looking for an anti-abrasion coating for our steel wall. The anti-abrasion product should be good to resist to impact, an to a temperature of 800 Celsius. May you help us?

Hi David,

Regarding to abrasion and temperature, using Ceramics or basalts could be a solution as the martensit carbon steel are not usable above to 200°c.

Dear Friend, have you ever thought about the ceramic lined into the steel wall? i'm pretty sure it will work.
