Have you complained to the supplier? What did he say?
This may be manufacturer's problem like workmanship, non adhearnance to manufacturing parameters etc.,

People opine that this is not un-common and there will not be any problem in use. What is your opinion? And what could be the cause? ■
Waviness in Belt
Recently came across a new NN 1000/4 belt which has a repair on the rubber. Opening the rubber reveals the carcass below in 3 to 4 numbers of waves / ripples (buckling sort of). The waves are for 10cm wide at the middle of the belt and runs continuously for approx 100 mtrs along the length of the belt.
Can any one tell
1. if this is going to cause any problem in application and if yes, how can this be taken care of during installation?
2. What are the factors that could have caused such defect in a belt?
Cheers, & Happy New Year!!
