Please clarify whether your query pertains to flat belt power transmission belt or flat belt conveyor. If it is flat belt conveyor whether it is for conveying bulk material or for conveying baggage / objects etc.

Help with belt drive system
hello all,
I would like some help to calculate the power and Torque of a driving motor in a belt drive system (flat belt). I am an electrical engineer and have no experience doing such calculations.
If at all possible, could someone please post all the revevant equations or a link to a site that may contain them.
