I am analyzing a wood pelleting process and came to this doubt:

For the same wood type and moisture content, wood particle thickness is probably the most important parameter for drying. The thicker the particle, the more resident time it needs to dry, but at the same time, the less energy you use to grind it. In practical terms, what is the typical and the maximum wood particle thickness that can be dried on a rotary dryer?
