Lyn,

We are investigating what is perceived to be a case of quaking in a "mass flow" bin.

Are there any acknowledged information sources or useful references to assist in addressing the issues?

Thanks

Steve,

I beleive that there are some more articles about 1991 and before era - in the BSH publications and by Alan Roberts and others. From memory, vertical insert tubes were added above the outlet to control the flow???

This was when there were a few reported cases of quaking - some with actual structural failures.

Now the phenomem has been understood for several years, I think that the problem has faded away unless it is not serious event and people live with it.

Others may have more to add.

Cheers

James
