Removal of Wood from Platinum Ore

Posted in: , on 26. Sep. 2011 - 16:34

Good Day all ,

Does any one have any suggestions for the removal of wood from a platinum process flow.

We are experiencing problems with "dirty ore " into the Platinum plant.

Large Ø350 x 250-400 Wood Pillars are being passed through the Feeders and Clogging the Flow. The Plant is currently Stopping the conveyor to manually remove the wood from the system.( Approx 800-900 kg a Day ).

The Conveyor is feed by 10 Vibrating Feeders ( Large Bunker ) , onto a belt conveyor through a tramp Iron Magnet , into the manual picking station , into a hopper which feeds a Jaw Crusher. 1200TPH

Any Suggestions would be Appreciated.

Thanks a Million ,

Jonathan Davies

Short of installing another picking belt before

the vibrating feeders you do not have many

options.

IF you are dumping feed into a DUMPING GRID...large steel opgs......the wood could theoretically be stopped or sidetracked there.

can you describe the infeed system please?
