Slurry Flow in Small Diameters

Posted in: , on 17. Jun. 2010 - 22:31

carrier fluid is a hydrocarbon of .88 spg, solid is an inorganic of density .92. particle distribution is from -100 mesh to -400 mesh in a variable ratio, diameter of desired flow path is 8 mm at a flow rate of 5 gm/sec

any slight change in diameter results in an accumulation of solids which eventuate in blockage of the flow path.

emulsifier? gelling agent? any comments on how we can successfully flow this material including particle size control?

Thanks to the many experts in advance....
