Dear Sir,

I would like to design an airslide with length of about 20 m for transferring cemen with a capacity of about 15t/h for a cement plant.

What is your suggestion for the slope of conveyor? Is there any formula?

Would you please inform me how I can do the calculation of the air slide? Are there any references?

Thanks in advance

There is very little published data on the design of air slides as the various vendors treat that information as being proprietary.

Cement will typically flow on angles of 6-8 degrees.

Iran,

A very good reference for designing air slides is the "text book" on pneumatic conveying by Marcus, Leung, Klinzing, and Rizk. It gives most of the information that you need for air slides design. Try to get a copy of this book and read the chapter on Gravity Conveyors.
