Re: Dense Phase Conveying Design Rules
What kind of pellets?
conveying distances involved ?
number of bends ?
how much vacuum are you pulling?
Pipe size, air and solid flow rates?
Give some more information. ■
For Mantoo
we are conveying plastic pellets to a packaging systeme from many different production lines . pellets density varies 25-35 #/cft3 . There is 21 ft vertical lift and many elbows , not sweeps . vacuum levels are 13-17 inches and can be varied .
We think this type of conveying behaves more like liquid transfer rather than dilute phase conveying ? We used 90 deg els rather than sweeps as some materials skin .
Would like to recalc the whole system ■

If you send the details of distance, length, rates, etc., we would be able to help out.

Dense phase conveying design rules
we are doing vacuum dense phase pellet conveying . Not sure about types of sweeps to use, max vertical lift . In addition not able to purge all the pellets out , causing contamination .
Contractor not cooperative . Need to reclac the whole system . ■
