Dresden, Germany, September 8, 2008 - KSW Microtec AG, one of the world’s leading suppliers of RFID components, has been ranked among the top ten providers in three RFID inlay product categories: Contactless Inlays, UHF Passive RFID Label Inlay and HF Passive RFID Label Inlays. This ranking is based on the ABI Research vendor matrices for innovation and implementation.
The company was placed second in the contactless payment and ticketing inlay category and was also acclaimed by ABI Research for both its UHF and HF passive RFID label inlays. Winning criteria are related to product and company characteristics. These criteria serve as proxies for vendor performance. Scoring is aggregated and analyzed for overall rankings. These characteristics include industry leadership and knowledge transfer, application strategies, standards adherence and breadth of product offering. Implementation scoring also covers market range and penetration across addressable markets as well as estimated annual inlay volumes.
