PORTSDOWN PALLET FREE F.I.B.C WEIGH SCALE

Portsdown have been involved in the production of F.I.B.C weigh equipment for many years - firstly with platform scale weighings which were discontinued when accidental damages were made frequently by careless fork lift truck drivers causing expensive repairs.

We then introduced our present range with suspended F.I.B.C's on a robust structure and we can report that we have not as yet had accidental damage reported. However the problem of removing the filled bag from the scale remained and this was usually by pallet on the blades of a fork lift truck. Large producers had to provide themselves with quantities of pallets which were expensive.

Our latest F.I.B.C scale at the request of many customers allows the operator to remove the filled and weighed bag as shown on the enclosed photographs. The empty F.I.B.C is placed on the opened support structure. When filled the blades of the fork lift truck are placed in the two troughs; as the loops are lifted the sides of the trough are lifted into a central position and the F.I.B.C is easily removed.

The F.I.B.C weigher has been designed around the requirements of the sand and gravel industry but can be used in most F.I.B.C applications.

LOADING ARMS can also be used for small bag weighing with the addition of Portsdown equipment.

SUPPORT STRUCTURE for loading arms can be produced for height and width to suit the F.I.B.C loop requirements and height of bag when loaded with product. Unusual bag sizes can be catered for.

LOAD CELL - Two fully approved 1 tonne load cells are fitted to the heels of the loading arms. These will weigh up to 2 tonnes in 1/2kg intervals. A 50% overload facility is built into the load cells.

DISPLAY UNIT - This offers a tare and an automatic cut off with two trips available for coarse and trickle feeds.
