Lafarge North America, Inc. has recently contracted with Loesche America, Inc. to install five classifiers on the existing Raymond mills located at their Alpena, Michigan Plant. The project is in alignment with the Lafarge goal of increasing capacity and fineness.

The plant has existing 5 kilns currently equipped with 5 independently fed direct firing systems. In a second phase of this project, Lafarge will have an option to add two LSKS25D dynamic classifiers to the remaining Raymond 613 mills. These dynamic classifiers will allow the plant to considerably improve product fineness resulting in an increase in the overall efficiency of the plant.
