Flyash slurry behaves as bingham fluid at such a high concentration (70%), you can take help of Darby and Melson (1981) corelation [Darby, R. and Melson, J. (1981), “How to predict the friction factor for the flow of Bingham plastics”, Chem. Engg., 88(26), pp. 59-61.] for calculating the pressure drop.

Relation bet pressure and velocity
In slurry line any relation between the pressure and velocity.
I was work with GEHO PUMP , this pump is piston diapharm pump with 80 bar dischrge pressure but velocity is 0.75m/s.The length from pump to discharge end is 10km.slurry concentation 30:70(30%water and 70% ash).Pipe line size-120mm ■
