quick answer NO. The rubber compounding is different. You cannot even mix and match between suppliers as far as steel cord belt is concerned unless you do compatibility tests. In answer to your other post, there is no reliable mechanical fastening technique for steel cord belts

I agree with Mr. Benjamin. You can not interchange the kits or their components. Although some manufacturers say that their cements may be used for fabric or steel cord splices (e.g. Rema Tip Top).
Another question is why you would want to spend the time and money to make a steel cord splice without the proper materials? It would be a gigantic waste. ■

Fabric & Steel Cord Belt Vulcanizing Kits
Dear Experts,
Is it possible to use the vulcanizing materials - insulation compound ( tie-gum ) and cover compounds - of fabric belts for hot vulcanizing the steel cord belts also?
Have you used them ? How was the result ? Did it give sufficient life ?
