Dear Mr.Joy,
I have not worked on C type belt flip over. But from the photos in the link, I think that the belt needs to be folded less than the troughing angle of the belt. I feel that it may harm the belt, especially the splice joints. Will it work, if the belt has clamps ( clips ) ?. This is my view. Hope you may do further research and proceed.
Regards, ■

I read your question about a pipe belt conveyors.
I also recently started working on the design and manufacture of conveyor belts in a company in my country called Sakht24.
I am happy to use the answers of others. ■
Belt Turnover
Dear all,
First of all , my sincere thanks to all the respected members here for their valuable time and advise/ guidance I have received from time to time.
I´m studying a solution to install two side turnovers in a dual carry Pipe conveyor.
The main characteristic of this conveyor are:
Lenght: 5500 m
Wide: 2100 mm
Belt type: ST 3150
Bulk transported: Coke / Ash
Transport rate: 2000 t/h (Design- 2200 t/h)
However, I know there are two methods of installing a turnover:
1. Conventional method with no. of guide pulleys with varying angle as shown below link:
https://conveyorbeltguide.com/belt-turnover.html
2. Combination of C type of guide frame and rollers as shown in the below link:
https://www.isenmannsiebe.de/productsiseturn.php
What is the better solution amongst these two to do the turnover to this Pipe belt conveyor?
Is it advisable to use C type of frame for such heavy duty steel cord belts to reduce the number of pulleys in the system?
Thank you very much in advance for your suggestions. ■
