Measuring Powder Flowability

I am working on a project to measure the flowability of a ceramic powder through a pressurized pipe. After some initial research I am seeing several different methods of quantifying and measuring flowability. I have seen Hall flowmeters, Rheometers, Tumblers (Aero Flowmeter), and many different shear cells tests. Which one of these methods sounds most appropriate for what I'm doing?

Also, does anyone recommend some available literature to read more about powder flowability?

I think the subject you are investigating is pneumatic conveying - most likely in the dense phase.

Dear Jason,

for measuring powder flowability I recommend two methode which can be useful.

We have good experiance with it.

1. Ringschertest machine RST-XS of Dietmar Schulze

2. Freeman FT-4 Powderrheometer

Wich of the both method you will apply is depending on the application.
