Workshop on Pneumatic Conveying

August 13 - 15, 2013, Pittsburgh, PA, USA

Professor George Klinzing and colleagues are conducting a workshop on pneumatic conveying for engineering applications.

The pneumatic conveying of solids is intimately intertwined with energy usage in plants and industries that handle solids in powder or granular forms. The transport of these solids has an optimal design which can be specified with some basic physical principles and guidelines.

This workshop hones in on these designs permitting the engineer to optimize his conveying operations and saving energy in the process. A highlight of the workshop shows attendees how to troubleshoot existing installations for operational and energy efficiency.

Finally, experts from the industrial consulting and academic arenas present a comprehensive approach to pneumatic conveying stressing energy minimization.
