TAIM WESER returns to BAUMA, where it will be exhibiting sophisticated solutions in bulk material handling and lifting systems, in addition to presenting some of its latest facilities, built for these sectors in a variety of countries.
After the company’s successful participation at the previous trade fair, held in 2007, TAIM WESER will once again be present at BAUMA, in 2010, where it will exhibit its bulk material handling and crane business units. The Spanish company will present its wide range of products in continuous bulk handling, a sector in which TAIM WESER is backed by vast experience, with projects across the five continents, specializing in providing turnkey solutions. Abundant visual and promotional material will be used by the company to display images of its most recent plants and complete information will be provided regarding continuous transportation systems, stockyard machinery, ship loaders, port terminals, truck and train loading and un-loading stations. The company will also be showcasing avant-garde lifting solutions, including a wide range of specialized cranes for the steel industry, refineries, ports, nuclear and thermal power plants, as well as container handling and ship unloading cranes.
TAIM WESER will be located in pavilion C-2, stand 402, which is dedicated to mining equipment and will occupy 72 m2, a larger surface area than at the previous edition.
TAIM WESER’S intense International Activity
At present, TAIM WESER is carrying out a variety of projects in the bulk materials handling and lifting sectors and is building, or has recently built, major facilities in countries including Morocco, Libya, France, Peru and Germany, among others.
In Morocco, for example, work is being carried out at two phosphate washing plants, where several bucket-wheel machines and a complete 12 km conveyor belt system with a capacity of 3,000 t/h have been provided. In Libya, the company is putting the finishing touches on the assembly of a stacker and on a high capacity bucket-wheel reclaimer for raw materials in a steel mill stockyard.
In other areas, a loader for grain with a capacity of 1,200 t/h has been supplied in France and is currently in the commissioning phase; in Peru we would highlight the supply of a transportation system and a ship loader for phosphates with a capacity of 3,500 t/h. With respect to recent facilities, another of the most noteworthy projects is the enlargement of the coal handling facility at the Staudinger (Germany) electric power plant, where TAIM WESER’s contribution has included, in addition to other items, a railway unloading station with a defrosting system for freight wagons and a complete belt transport system for coal and ash.
In the lifting sector, also in France, of particular importance is the recent delivery of two extremely sophisticated high tonnage steel mill cranes, which provide superior accuracy in difficult environments. Of the two cranes, one has a capacity of 175 t, while the other has a capacity of 600 t, the highest tonnage capacity manufactured by TAIM WESER up to now.
