Dresden, Germany, September 3, 2008 - KSW Microtec AG, one of the world’s leading suppliers of RFID components, will once again be highlighting innovative products for RFID track and trace applications at RFID World 2008 from September 8-10 at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas. Among the highlights at KSW’s stand will be the enhanced and optimized KSW RFID-based VarioSens® label with integrated temperature sensor to enable temperature monitoring, on display for the first time.

VarioSens® is the industry's first flexible temperature data logger offering fast, safe and transparent transfer of data. All ISO 15693 compliant readers can be used to configure the VarioSens® label and read the logged temperature records. The VarioSens® RFID chip contains a unique identification number and a configurable read/write memory - allowing users to program customer data, product information and addresses, while simultaneously monitoring temperatures with variable time stamps. This means that the VarioSens® label can be used for temperature monitoring as well as for tracking and tracing perishables, pharmaceuticals and other temperature sensitive goods such as fine wines, exclusive foods and beverages and vaccines.
