Pioneers for over 30 years

The VSR story began in 1975 in a garage in Mülheim. With the development of our VSR BLASTER® air cannon, we broke new technical ground and were therefore practically alone in the marketplace. Up until today, our patented technology has been the standard used for the removal of discharge disturbances in silos, stockpiles and bunkers.

Customer-oriented continued development

The cement industry quickly recognized the many and diverse application options for removing sediment formation in high-temperature areas. Quality improvements, steady production and significant safety gains with lower operating costs led to a clear and rapid rise in sale figures. The VSR BLASTER® air cannon, with its practically indestructible, highly-efficient construction still maintains its place in first position, even if there are several competitors in the market these days. Permanent, customer-oriented continued development distinguishes this product. Nevertheless, in a period of continual technical innovation, it is succeeded in constantly keeping spare parts' compatibility.

Environmental protection and occupational safety and health

A comparable development began at the end of 1988 with the new type of dust removal system, DUSTEX®. DUSTEX® collects large quantities of dust with a minimal expenditure of energy. It is thanks to the pioneering work of VSR that the water jet and dispersal systems used by public authorities are recognized as the technology standard for TA air.

In continuous use for decades

The series of innovative products also includes the VIBREX® conveyor belt scraper, LINEX® conveyor belt centralizing idler, with their unique link system, and the CAREX ® segment block system for sealing conveyor-belt clamping attachments. For decades, industry has used these highly-effective components to optimize conveyor-belt systems.

Cost savings + high tech

The stress reduction procedure VIBMATIC® developed by VSR takes special place (the first product from VSR). The current, fourth generation of machines has a modern computer controlling an imbalance generator, with which internal stress that can lead to unwanted delays in the mechanical processing of steel and casting constructions, is simply vibrated out. This is a genuine alternative to low-tension annealing. The VSR process offers considerable advantages with regard to handling, energy savings, minimization of logistical expenditure and reduction in product costs. Right now, these parameters are of enormous significance for mechanical engineering and large plant repair.

New site

In 2002, our company head office transferred to Duisburg-Homberg. We are now located under one roof with Lemetco GmbH, sole VSR shareholder since 1 July 1999.

Still serving our customers

VSR BLASTER®

Air cannons and air injectors for pneumatic removal of blockages and deposit build-up in silos

Air cannons are fixed to the outside of the silos. They blast the stored compressed air at 4 to 10 bar over a wide cross-section of 50 to 150 mm in diameter in a few milliseconds into the critical interior material zones.

Very often, special jet nozzles, such as the isobaric sword nozzle, for example, are used for activating wide areas. The total operating safety and maintainability of well over 25,000 VSR BLASTER® air cannons are put to the test daily. They are also easy to assemble and to control.

Air cannons can be components of a cost-effective system of discharge-safe new machines or be effectively adapted to work with existing systems. VSR BLASTER® air cannons are supplied with full assembly and control accessories and can be assembled on request.

Areas of application for VSR BLASTER® air cannons

Ratholing and bridging in funnels, silos, bunkers, stockpiles and hoppers with a volume of up to well over 10,000 m. Similarly, deposits built up in pipelines, heat exchangers and cyclones are removed, even in the high-temperature areas of power stations and cement works with media temperatures of up to well over 1,000 °C. In this area, the VSR changeable nozzle system offers large cost savings through simple jet nozzle exchange.

Areas of application for the VSR BLASTER® air injector

• Free-blowing of funnels, pipes and filters

• Shock aerating of bulk goods and soil

• Air-blowing moulds and tools

• Cleaning probes and heat exchangers

Delivery program

VSR BLASTER® air cannons are available in sizes from 12 to 500 l content and blasting cross-sections of DN 50, DN 100 and DN 150.

DUSTEX®

Water dispersion system for industrial dust suppression

Dust-filled air that occurs when crushing or transporting bulk goods, can be cleaned by spraying with fine water droplets. Ordinary water nozzles fail to generate the same spectrum of drops and, most importantly, the necessary fineness. This results in the equipment becoming wet, whilst the dust remains.

With the DUSTEX® system, water is ripped apart by two component nozzles using an air-stream moved by ultrasonic oscillation into drops of 5 to 20 µm in size.

With the fineness of the drops, the number of drops and the surface affinity for dust, and therefore the effect, increases disproportionately. The dust can be moistened and, through suppression, be transported away with the main material flow.

VIBREX®

Conveyor-belt scraper for keeping conveyor-belt systems clean

These are the ideal elements for belt cleaning. Individuall spring-mounted, wear-resistant scrapers are pressed flexibly against the conveyor-belt. They continually adapt to the belt surface and to wear. This results in a very long life and long-term effective cleaning. In addition, the surface of the conveyor-belt is extremely well protected. Conveyor-belts mostly wear out because of bad scrapers.

Product features

For extremely dirty belts and high-performance, the VIBREX®-DUAL scraper system's combination of front and main scrapers produces the best effect. Spring blades and head scrapers are used for reverse belts, severe material caking and narrow spaces. Assembly and tension devices of simple clamping attachments for axles made of aluminium, steel and stainless steel to pneumatic vertical and torsion tension systems ensure fast assembly, good adjustability and simple maintenance. Polyurethane brushes, plough scrapers and a range of scraper variations enhance the tried-and-tested VIBREX® programme. VIBREX® scrapers are reasonably priced and effective. They are important elements of equipment for both plant manufacturers and operators.

Areas of application

Conveyor-belts in lignite and hard coal mining, power plants, cement works, gravel, stone and sand pits, foundries, aluminium works, lead and steel works, harbour warehouse operations, chemical works, water and sewage plants, refuse incineration plants and in the wood and metal processing industries.

CAREX®

Segmentblock system for sealing transfer chutes

This easy-to-operate sealing system is for sealing the sides and head of the transfer chute opposite the conveyor-belt.

Backing plates are either welded or screwed on to the bottom edge of the chute. Individual segment blocks made out of rubber or plastic are drawn back with their plates next to each other on the vertical guides, adjusted to the belt contour and clamped so that the leaking and dust produced by conventional rubber strip sealing are avoided.

If they wear out, segment blocks can be readjusted with the hammer individually, if necessary, whilst the machine is in operation.

Product features

• Small installation heights from 160 mm

• Fixing from the side with screwed-on plates

• Easily adjustable

• Variable fastening through changeable, self-locking female screws

• Good running performance through a 30° angle on the bottom edge

LINEX®

Conveyor-belt centralizing idler for the directional stability of conveyor-belts

These universally-applicable supporting rollers guarantee the safe directional stability of conveyor-belts. They are built-in straight in front of the reverse drum, in place of a lower supporting roller. At the slightest swaying to one side, the rollers, which are positioned at the centre of gravity, tip and turn and guide the belt through the friction effect of its chevron-shaped rubber strips back to the centre. Asymmetrical belt loads, sideways overflow and damage to the edge belt selvage or the rubber seal at the sides are reliably avoided.

Product features

• High degree of effectiveness

• Reliable in application

• Protects the belt selvages

• Swing-mounted

• Easy to refit

• Protected against corrosion

Areas of application

Conveyor-belts in lignite and hard coal mining, power plants, cement works, gravel, stone and sand pits, foundries, aluminium works, lead and steel works, harbour warehouse operations, chemical works, water and sewage plants, refuse incineration plants and in the wood and metal processing industries.
