Milan, April 1st, 2010 - Effective April 1st, Tenova established a new Company, Tenova Re Energy GmbH, specialized in heat recovery and energy efficiency for industrial furnaces. Located in Düsseldorf (Germany), Tenova Re Energy can boast an engineering team with deep experience in steam generation heat recovery projects: present in Tenova Italimpianti Deutschland GmbH since 2006, they successfully managed several heat recovery projects for walking beam furnaces and electric arc furnace especially in the German market.
The efficient use of resources is an integral part of Tenova’s mission: Energy efficiency, reduction of environmental impact and higher product quality are the drivers of Tenova innovation in the steel industry: “The time was right to create a Company only dedicated to heat recovery: 25-40% of the energy input in industrial furnaces is lost in waste gas and cooling water” explains Ralf Granderath, CEO of Tenova Re Energy “the heat recovery systems we have installed in German leading steel industries have already proven to “re-generate” energy from the waste gases and the capability to reduce the environmental impact”.
