Key Technology Expands Online Training Program to Include Tegra® Sorters
August 18, 2009 - Key Technology introduces its new Online Training Program for Tegra® with G6 sorters. This interactive, multimedia curriculum expands the knowledgeability of employees to better operate, maintain, and clean Tegra sorting systems. By providing effective and consistent training, Key's Online Training Program helps processors operate Tegra at peak performance to optimize product quality and maximize equipment uptime while reducing training costs.
Designed for supervisors, operators, maintenance personnel, sanitation crews, and others working with Key's Tegra sorters, the new program includes six self-paced modules covering various Tegra hardware topics. Additional modules, introduced in 2008, cover software-related G6 user interface topics that pertain to Tegra as well as other current Key sorters including Optyx®, Manta®, ADR® systems, and G6-upgraded legacy sorters.
The Tegra and G6 training modules are ideal for processors upgrading legacy Tegra sorters to the G6 electro-optical platform, as well as those already operating G6-enabled Tegra sorters.
Compared to traditional in-person, on-site training, Key‚s Online Training Program is affordable, self-paced, and available anytime, on-demand. This program enables companies to easily train personnel as needed, just in time - before equipment is installed or when certification or re-certification is essential. Consistency is improved because all employees across the company, regardless of plant location, receive the same training. Training time is reduced and retention is enhanced since the program can be tailored to focus only on the topics suitable for each position.
Processors can pick and choose the most suitable combination of training modules for each job position, tailoring the training program to focus on the topics of interest for that specific job function. Each self-paced module is designed to take less than 20 minutes to complete and is followed by a test to verify comprehension. To facilitate record keeping and proof of compliance with industry regulations and company policies, full reporting, via the Learning Management System (LMS), is delivered.
