Malvern appoints new project engineer for South America

Malvern Instruments has appointed Henrique Kajiyama to the post of Project Engineer - Process Systems. Henrique has more than 15 years experience in industrial and process equipment design, in both Brazil and Japan. His appointment significantly enhances the support that Malvern provides to customers in South America for its on-line and at-line particle characterization systems.

From his base in Brazil, Henrique will manage engineering projects and support technical sales throughout the region. This appointment follows the announcement last year of Malvern’s groundbreaking agreement with Votorantim, Brazil’s second largest company, to supply Insitec on-line particle size analyzers for at least 30 of their cement production lines throughout North and South America. It further underlines Malvern’s commitment to its customers in this growing market.

As well as his degree in mechanical engineering, Henrique has an MBA and speaks Japanese, English, Portuguese and Spanish - ideal skills for Malvern’s first direct employee in South America.
