Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik wins Innovation Award for new high-efficiency screen
During the Powtech 2008 fair in Nuremberg, Germany, the “Innovation Award” was posted for the second time by trade publications “Process” and “Schüttgut”. This award should honor especially innovative developments from four different areas of the process technology. Essential for winning was the level of innovation as well as the economic efficiency in operation of the new products. In addition, the development had to be made during the last year, and the product itself had to be exhibited at a fair and available in the short term.
Within the apparatus engineering category, Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik from Bruchköbel in Germany prevailed among a total of 50 candidates. They introduced a self-developed screen system, in which the experiences of a long-term company tradition as a classical bulk contract manufacturer were implemented. Therefore, the new features of the “Innosieve 1000/3”, introduced at the Powtech, are quite impressive.
The whole design was done without any internal components, which could eventually loosen and contaminate the product. Additionally, often time-consuming changes of the screening surface were speeded up extremely by installation of a quick changer, the risk of accidents was minimized by fitting of additional housing parts and several other useful features were implemented to make the system more robust, efficient and safe. The new screen is suited especially for operation in the fine chemical, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries. But thanks to its modular design, various extension possibilities and different sizes, it can excellently be used on many more fields of activities.
The jury therefore found the new screen to meet all the requirements regarding innovation and especially economic efficiency, and awarded Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik the first price for this new development.
