DOMTEC Monolithic Concrete Dome Structures

History

Founded in 1995, after over 10 years in the monolithic concrete dome industry, DOMTEC (pronounced dometec, or dometech) International was awarded a project as the general contractor for a USD$5 million, 40,000 metric tonne fly ash dome. Included in the contract was an automated reclaim system, sub-grade tunnel, stair tower and bridge and head house.

Now a global leader in bulk storage solutions in the mining, power, agriculture and cement industries, we have built domes on 5 continents storing coal, wood pellets, fgd gypsum, fly ash, metals, ores, rare earth elements, potash, fertilizers, grains, peanuts, salt and sugar.

Warranty: triple warranty from builder, manufacturer and supplier.

We have been in business about 20 years building domes worldwide. Each dome has been a successful project with zero failures. Our safety and quality control/assurance programs are second to none in our industry. Our capabilities include acting as a prime contractor to build the dome shell or providing turnkey solutions, assembling a world-class team to engineer, procure and construct tunnels, foundations, floors, domes, apex curbs, reclaim and conveying equipment.

We are committed to improving local economies in the communities we build. We hire local labor and purchase local materials to assist our specialty qualified technicians in building the domes, thus keeping much of the contract monies in the local economy.

Mix designs are free of charge.

Building of the domes is an excellent field of comfort and safety where we have excellent recognition in supply of shotcrete admixture, techniques of batch installation, and mix signs:

This is not new for KALMATRON® applied for building of the domes as shown on attached picture. It doesn't need to be waterproofed being popular in a Middle of the USA.

Monolithic Domes which are strong structures that can with stand natural disasters like Tornado, Hurricane and Earthquake Proof, Fire, Termites and Rot. In underdeveloped areas with hot climates, KALMATRON® make affordable, low maintenance, sturdy housing. Not only are they the most durable homes on the planet, they are also the the greenest!

The Monolithic Dome has a number of unique benefits: construction affordability, healthy environment, disaster protection, energy savings, longevity

To povide the world with affordable and energy efficient housing and working facilities that will keep the inhabitants safe and the planet green.

Momolithic Domes are more affordable than traditional homes to construct. They are energy efficient in that a small a.c. unit can keep them cool and ceiling lights can keep them warm. Domes are virtually indestructable, and therefore, require little long term maintenance.

What makes a dome so strong and able to resist the elements for centuries? Two factors come into play:

1. The dome is in the shape of a half sphere which means there are no corners for high winds to catch allowing wind and harsh rains to deflect off or pass over.

2. The Dome shell ranges from three to six inches of thick concrete that surrounds an interior half global like grid made of rebar.

Monolithic Dome, the Monolithic Cabin can provide protection from natural disasters, such as earthquakes, hurricanes, heavy storms and tornadoes. To be used against hurricanes, the cabin needs to have shutters over all windows or have hurricane windows. To be used as a tornado shelter, the cabin is to have shutters and be sprayed with 2" thicker concrete. Even without the additional concrete, the cabins are still more disaster resistant than most structures. Added features of dome structures are their ability to withstand wildfires, termites, hail, fallen trees, flying debri and even bullets and artillary shells.
