Firm to offer No Visible Dust® bulk handling throughout Asia Pacific
BOULDER, CO, February 23, 2005 – Air Control Science, Inc., (ACS) a leading engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firm specializing in dust and fume control in coal-fired power and primary metal industries, has formed a separate corporation in Australia. The new company will be called Air Control Science Pty Limited. ACS Pty Limited will be a jointly-owned corporation between Air Control Science Inc. (USA) and McLanahan Corporation of Hollidaysburg, Pa. With offices in Perth and Newcastle, Australia, this new firm will help ACS deliver timely services to customers in Australia and the Asian Pacific region.
ACS was formed in 1994 and has grown rapidly due to its unique technological developments and engineering and construction services for Healthy, Safe Coal HandlingSM in coal-fired power plants in the utilities industry and No Visible Dust® environment in primary metals facilities. These solutions have increasingly been sought internationally, resulting in strategic alliances in Eastern and Western Europe and now Australia.
The McLanahan Corporation, a family-owned business established in 1835, is a well-known manufacturer of minerals crushing systems. It formed McLanahan Corporation Pty Limited, based in Newcastle, Australia in 2003 to serve the minerals and aggregate processing industries in the Asia Pacific region.
This new jointly owned operation will provide clean bulk solids handling solutions to the coal and primary metals industries in a timely, cost-effective manner for Australian and Asian Pacific customers. The two Australian based firms deliver solutions for safely and cost-effectively conveying materials within process plants so that assets are protected, risk is reduced, plants operate more efficiently, and workers within these plants function in a healthy environment.
