Continous bucket barge unloader of 1000 tph capacity for pallets is working for last 14 years at vikram ispat.This unloader was supplied by mukad in 1991
Mormugao port trust is also having 1250 tph continous ship unloader for iron ore.

Surprise surprise, it is pallet or pellets ???
Bucket elevator for pellet in many cases have been shows an elevation destruction of the pellet (and in biomass are not really likelly).

Selection Of Ship Unloader
Dear Mr. Singh,
In VIKRAM ISPAT, there is no bucket wheel un-loader. It is chain & bucket type unloader. I think by mistake you have written PALLET instead of PELLET. I know about VIKRAM ISPAT. In Mormugao also there is no bucket wheel type unloader.Some times ago, X- was supplied for the same & it was taken by them due to problems.

Continuous type unloader is prone to problems and is requires more maintenance. There are better alternatives. ■

I do not agree with your statement. All yard machines are contious type & working through out the year with out any problem. There are many installation where Bucket wheel unloader unloading coal from hold with out any problem.

Dear All,
I am now doing one report for DR plant based on MIDREX tech. Pellet will come by PANAMAX ship.I want to use bucket wheel type contunious unloader .I read in journal that the bucket wheel type unloader was used for unloading pellet but the same was taken out of operation within few months.Now about the development of such machine is not known to me. Please write me in details.
