1937 in Saigon Vietnam.
Graduate Civil Engineer of Bridges and Roads in 1961 from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées Paris France.
Doctor of Sciences degree in 1964 from the University of Paris France.
Research Engineer at Ecole Polytechnique from 1961-1979 and Research Supervisor at the CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research) since 1980.
Main fields of activity : soil mechanics, earthquake geotechnical engineering, fracture of concrete and rocks, dissipativity and fatigue of engineering materials, sports engineering.
