The recent shockers given by Indian Railway about holding time of their rake from 16 hours to 5-6 hours, for loading and unloading of raw and finished products has put Indian Manufacturing Industries in rolling stage.Problem is that, if any Industry is thinking to switch over to other modes of transportation will have lot of effects and also take 12-14 months for developing facilities. During last one month we have been to 5 plants (fertiliser,crushing and cement) where, they are facing problems of evacuation of their finished products. Some companies near Coastal areas are seriously looking for using Coastal transportation of their raw and finished products.I think this problem will be faced by most of the Industries at present.
