The Quantum Series Orifice Gate is designed to eliminate sealing problems associated with traditional knife gates or butterfly valves. The Quantum Orifice Gate’s blade and seal design allows the valve to “self-clean” on the opening stroke, which prevents material from packing on the valve’s internal seals. This feature is critical to maintain cleanliness and inhibit material leakage across the valve or into the atmosphere.

The versatile Quantum Orifice Gate, which is well-suited for many dry material handling applications, can be applied to control, shutoff, or meter material flow of non-abrasive to moderately abrasive powders, granulars, or pellets. It includes hard-polymer seals that compensate for wear over time. These seals are also protected from blast abrasion, allowing for long-service life and durability.
The Quantum Series Orifice Gate is made using precision laser cutting and bending technology. Its narrow profile and lightweight construction weighs less than typical knife gates, allowing for easier installation of the valve. Maintenance on the Quantum Series Orifice Gate, when necessary, is quick and easy – and can be performed directly on the conveying line. Adapting the Quantum Series Orifice Gate to a system is made easy with a wide selection of actuators, gate positioning controls, position indication switches, flanges, and tube stubs. It also offers a wide variety of modifications to accommodate a range of temperatures, corrosive, humid, and hazardous environments.
