Schlösser Anlagentechnik introduces new Big-Bag filling plant

Hygiene is the trump card

On this year’s trade fair EasyFairs Schüttgut, the innovative Big-Bag filling system SBB 2000 H/S-V-Hygienic from Schlösser Anlagentechnik drew much attention. The new plant is of particular interest especially for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries and also to producers of foodstuffs.

To Schlösser GmbH Anlagentechnik, the recently ended EasyFairs Schüttgut trade fair in Dortmund was a great success. Dozens of decision makers from industry visited the stand of the company from Hennef near Bonn to learn about the latest developments by this equipment manufacturer. The innovative SBB 2000 H/S-V-Hygienic Big-Bag filling system was the centre of attraction here. “The enquiries for this kind of technology for hygienic filling of powdery products have been increasing of late. This is why we have developed and produced a Big-Bag filling plant to satisfy especially the demands of the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, but also the demands of the foodstuffs producers”, states Managing Director Thomas Schlösser. This innovation from the Rhineland, unlike conventional fill stations, carries out the various bag handling steps and the filling without pallets in strictly separated rooms. Two hygiene locks between the so-called white and grey rooms alternate in opening and closing to prevent the treated sterile room air from escaping.

Compact, flexible and accurate

“The plant is constructed to allow a specific product to be compacted during filling on a vibration table under the single hoisting device”, explains the MD. Because the latter can swivel, it is also easy to clean. Another feature: The grey room has a camera used by the operating staff to monitor the processes and check, for instance, whether the Big-Bag loops properly detach themselves from the hooks. The abovementioned hoisting device may also be used to deposit the Big-Bags entering the grey room on the approaching wooden pallets. The Schlösser-developed Big-Bag filling system is capable of filling eight to ten Big-Bags per hour. The MD Thomas Schlösser describes the salient features of the new plant as follows: “Our system is extremely compact and designed for suspended weighing with a high accuracy of dosing. “These advantages were instrumental in the favourable impression the company from Hennef made on a renowned Danish foodstuffs producing company. This company recently purchased a SBB 2000 H/S-V-Hygienic which is soon to be commissioned. Other national and international companies in the foodstuffs industry are also showing great interest in this innovation. “We are anticipating a number of top class projects”, announces Thomas Schlösser.
