K-Tron to Exhibit at Anuga FoodTec in Cologne, Germany



Niederlenz, SwitzerlandK-Tron can provide single source solutions for all feeding and pneumatic conveying needs in the food and pet food industries. A complete system for a batch food process will be shown at Anuga FoodTec in hall 10.1, booth F-071.

The batch weighing system on display will include a P100 Batch Weigh Receiver paired with a KT20 Loss-in-Weight Feeder, accompanied by a Bag Dump Station outfitted with a Blow-Through Premium Quick-Clean Aerolock™ Rotary Valve (BT-PQR). The entire system – equipment and support frames – have been specifically engineered for sanitary food applications where contamination is a constant concern, and frequent disassembly and cleaning is required. An MT12 Loss-in-Weight Microfeeder will also be on display.

K-Tron loaders and receivers are ideal for many applications, such as hopper loading, refilling loss-in-weight feeders and handling a wide variety of bulk materials in the food and pet food industries. A variety of discharge valve types including gravity flap, orifice slide gate and butterfly valve are available on standard models.

K-Tron feeders specialize in the high accuracy addition of high value minor and micro ingredients to batch or continuous processes. K-Tron feeders can be used for dry ingredients as well as liquid flavors and additives. Typical food applications include cereals and breakfast foods, snack foods, pet/fish food and feed, confectionary/chocolate products, coffee, flour/dough/bakery products, probiotics, trace elements, vitamin fortifiers, liquid flavors and aromatics.

The K-Tron booth will also feature K-Tron Smart Commander, a customizable visualization software that simultaneously controls up to 32 feeders in up to 8 lines. The K-Tron Smart Commander software can be run on a standard industrial PC using keyboard and mouse or touchscreen.

Sharon Nowak, K-Tron Global Business Development Manager for Food and Pharmaceutical Industries will give a presentation entitled “High Accuracy Feeding and Handling of Food Ingredient Macros, Minors, and Micros from Rates as High as 90,000 lb/hr to as Low as 20 g/hr” on Tuesday March 27, 2:30 – 3 pm at Speakers Corner, Passage 4/5.
