NEW BELT CLEANER YIELDS EFFECTIVE

CLEANING IN CHALLENGING CONDITIONS

Walluf, Germany - Martin Engineering introduces a new innovative belt cleaner. Using a rotating brush, The MARTIN® Brush Cleaner removes material that has adhered to the conveyor belt and therefore prevents the buildup of dust and material along the conveyor system. Suitable for use in difficult applications, such as on belts that use raised elements (cleats, chevrons, ribs, and lugs) to assist in carrying material or belts carrying sticky materials or stringy fibers, The MARTIN® Brush Cleaner is an economical solution that provides effective cleaning, efficient operation, rugged and flexible construction, and high-performance cleaning.

The economical electric motor provides successful cleaning with minimal power consumption. Made of durable angle mild and stainless steel components, this cost-effective belt cleaner generates a long-service life, holding up even under the harshest operating conditions. The motor can be operated in reverse condition and can be installed on the left or ride side of the cleaner, depending on the plant’s requirements. The brush system also allows for easy installation and maintenance.

Three bristle pattern options allow for flexible cleaning under dry, medium, and high-moisture contents. The MARTIN® FULL SEAT BRUSH BELT CLEANER uses bristles that are wrapped in a continuous full seat around the brush and provides effective cleaning performance on belts carrying dry, dusty, crumbled materials that readily release from the bristles. The MARTIN® SPIRAL BRUSH BELT CLEANER contains bristles that are wrapped in a spiral pattern and cleans belts transporting moist materials that can cling and cause buildup on the brush shaft. Providing cleaning for high-moisture content, the MARTIN® LINEAR BRUSH BELT CLEANER removes materials that fall easily from the brush.

Martin Engineering's Conveyor Belt Brush Cleaners are designed for use in the secondary cleaning position. The recommended placement is at the point where the belt leaves the discharge pulley. The MARTIN® Brush Belt Cleaner may also be mounted further along the conveyor's return run where it can be supported by an idler or pulley.
