What type of conveyor is this for? Please give a bit of layout conveyor detail.

If the purpose is what I think you are looking for, I may be able to supply drawings and componentry listing for a fully automated unit I designed and fitted to the old Fox, Meco and Hannerford 800mm, 900mm and 1200mm belt widths conveyor systems used in the underground coal mining conveyor applications to replace the hand winches. These units are simple off the shelf parts and connected into the existing mine infrastructure at very minimal costs. ■

At Dos Santos International we supply complete hydraulic take-up systems for our high angle conveyors and for our overland conveyors. We also supply these as independent complete hydraulic take-up systems for use by others. Each such system includes:

1.) Take-Up Pulley on a traveling carriage

2.) Tensioning wire rope and reeving sheaves

3.) Tensioning hydraulic cylinder

4.) Take-up framing with travel rails for pulley carriage and supports for reeving sheaves and tensioning cylinder

5.) Hydraulic power unit with motor, pump, pressure switches and valves to control the hydraulic pressure within tight limits to impart a constant automatic tension to the take-up pulley
