Successful Presentation of the New Spider Shredder
WEIMA Maschinenbau GmbH has presented its newly developed Spider modular shredder system for the first time at the K 2010 fair in Düsseldorf. The machinery producing company has been able to already conclude sales for the new shredder directly at the fair, as well as for other proven products.
Jörg Töpfer, WEIMA Sales Manager, says, “We were surprised by the unexpectedly high number of enquiries, especially from Germany. We have furthermore received specific enquiries from the entire world, in amazingly high quality. A large number of visitors from India were noticeable. The range of applications for our shredders covers both processing of production as well as post-consumer waste. On account of such strong demand, we are obliged to further strengthen of sales team, already in the short term. Overall, we are more than satisfied with our participation as an exhibitor at the K”.
The new Spider system consists of two modules. The cutting system comprises a rotor with various blade sizes and shapes. There are three different pressing system options, depending on the material to be shredded. Of these, a horizontal pusher is especially suited for rigid plastics, while a bow-shaped swing is particularly suited for films and filaments. A slanted pusher is recommended however for hollow objects.
WEIMA Maschinenbau GmbH has been constructing shredding machines for quite different tasks for more than 25 years, among others, for customers in the plastics, wood and recycling industries throughout the world. The company employs worldwide staff of approx. 160, owns sales locations in France, United Kingdom, America, Japan and Russia, as well as having more than 50 representative agencies worldwide. The production programme includes, among others, single shaft shredders, twin and four-shaft shredders, cutting mills (granulators), briquetting presses and lines, as well as accessories.
