Re: Dust Extraction For A Dump Hopper
There are a number of options. Some of which are listed in the article commencing p 2 of this document.

Re: Dust Extraction For A Dump Hopper
Thank you Mr.Lyle.
The article was quite informative.
Is there any empirical equation or method to calculate the fugitive dust emitted from a dump truck?

Re: Dust Extraction For A Dump Hopper
There are methods to calculate dust, not sure that they directly relate to dump trucks, though you may be able to infer the required results.

Re: Dust Extraction For A Dump Hopper
Thanks Mr.Lyle
The links are really interesting and informative.
I was able to size the filter refering the previous projects.
It was similar to the design found in the article which you shared in your first reply.
The concluded design was to build an enclosure around the hopper and to provide a bag filter of 30000m3/hr.
The bag filter is sized based on the dimesnions of the enclosure.

Re: Dust Extraction For A Dump Hopper
Hi Anand,
It is possible to design these items without the need for any bag houses or dust extraction system by designing the system in a way that makes the air flow predictable and then stilling the air flow with static devices. We have done this successfully, it is much cheaper, it creates less dust and there is no collected material to manage. If you want to know more email me.

Dust Extraction for a Dump Hopper
Hi,
I am designing a dust extraction system for a crushing plant.
In the dump hopper area, dust suppression cannot be employed due to the scarcity of water in the plant location.
Can anyone please advise me how to extract dust from the dump hopper in such a case?
Thank & Regards
Anand ■
