Shanghai IPB 2010 Geared to Process Technologies

•Some 150 exhibiting companies

•Top event with key international players on board

•High-profile conference programme

Only a few weeks to go until the International Powder/Bulk Conference & Exhibition (IPB) opens its doors for the eighth time. The established exhibition is China’s largest and most specialized event for powder, granule and bulk solids technologies. The 2010 exhibition takes place in the INTEX Shanghai from 27–29 September. Under the flag of NürnbergMesse China, IPB is a permanent feature in the exhibition calendar for the bulk solids sector. The exhibition and conference are organized jointly by the Chinese Society of Particuology, NürnbergMesse China Co., Ltd. and Worldwide Exhibitions Co., Ltd. The organizers are supported by the Association of Powder Process Industry and Engineering (APPIE) of Japan, the publisher Vogel Industrie Medien and POWTECH, the leading international exhibition for mechanical processing technologies in Nürnberg, Germany.

“Process and bulk solids technologies play a major role in almost every sector of industry and especially Shanghai and the surrounding area represent one of the biggest user markets, as many important companies in the chemical, pharmaceutical, steel and iron industries are located here,” explains Evian Gu, Project Manager of IPB at NürnbergMesse China. “Together with our partners, we can offer the experts the prospects of a specially tailored event and top conferences again this year in the segments of ‘basic mechanical processing technologies’, ‘plant engineering and processing components’, ‘particle analysis and characterization’, ‘nano particle technologies’, ‘measurement and control’ and ‘safety and environmental technologies’,” continues Evian.

Innovative solutions for process technologies

IPB has always provided the answers needed to counter all the current challenges from raw material processing to nanotechnology. This year’s event also shows a broad spectrum of technologies and applications for the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, coatings, packaging, mining and ceramic industries. The three-day event is an ideal platform for experts from all over the world to meet leading manufacturers and find new solutions for their manufacturing processes. A special attraction this year is that the exhibition takes place at the same time as the Shanghai WorldExpo, which awaits visitors from all over the world until 31 October and examines the future of life in the city under the motto of “Better city, better life”.

Here the visiting experts from all over the world can exchange views at the highest level and enjoy the professional dialogue. Three application-orientated events are offered in English with a variety of presentations. The topics cover a broad spectrum. The first conference ranges from “applications of biotechnology and powder technology”, “medical powder and Chinese herbal medicine”, “feed” and “food industry” to “agricultural product and by-product processing”.

The second event “China Non-metallic Minerals Industry Conference and the 6th White Mineral Processing and Utilization Technologies Conference” covers the following topics:

•Chinese non-metallic minerals industrial technology development Status

•The latest application and development of non-metallic mineral powder in the plastic pipe industry

•Chinese market situation of quartz material processing

•The prospects of the application in environmentally non-metallic mineral

The third seminar is organized by the Association of Powder Process Industry and Engineering (APPIE) of Japan. APPIE organizes 12 Japanese companies to participate in IPB and each company will present its newest products and technologies in the seminar.
