Vejle, Denmark, May 19, 2010 - A new complete weight program of Intake- and out-loading scales from Jesma has seen the light of day. “We have developed this program to meet the requirements for accuracy and reliability of tomorrow, today. Furthermore the program can be equipped to comply with regulations regarding ATEX” says Palle Serup, CEO of Jesma.
“During the last years we have seen this type of weights being used in more and more productions. We decided therefore a year ago to expand and improve this program. Our goal was not only to make the products better and safer; we also wanted to expand the capacity. Now we can offer 8 different sizes of this type of scale. The program spans from the small JesHopper-Intake 30 to the large JesHopper-Intake 3000”.
What alterations have been made to the new program?
”It is difficult to mention all the improvements, but I would like to emphasize the following:
•Simple mechanical construction, securing long and stable running
•Improved accuracy on the weighing unit
•Completely dustproof solution
•Approved for ATEX zone 21 and 22
Where and how do you use this type of scale?
The principle of this type of scale is that you weigh a flow of bulk products; this could be corn, sugar, flour, sand or the likes.
The weighing hopper is filled with material, where after a signal is given to the pre-bin. The pre-bin cuts off the product stream to the weighing hopper while the product is weighed. When the weighing signal is steady, the product is released and the weighing hopper is reset.
In principle this weight can be placed everywhere there is a need for direct weighing in a dynamic product flow.
