Comptrol Technologies Inc. announces wireless networking for its full line of controllers
Burlington, Canada, November 23, 2009 - Comptrol Technologies Inc. has announced that all of it's scale and feeder controllers are now available with wireless Industrial Ethernet networking. Modbus-TCP, Profinet, and Ethernet/IP are all available as options on the CTR3 and CTR-25X Controllers, and now they are available in a wireless configuration. Conforming to the 802.11 b and 802.11g Ethernet network standard, the network has a range of up to 328 feet (100m) indoors. Integration with your existing network is a matter of installing or utilizing a wireless access point on your wired network. With IEEE 802.11i-PSK or WPA (PSK, TKIP) encryption the wireless network offers heightened security. Comptrol's wireless network option also supports 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standards (Rjindael) encryption for true end-to-end (wired to wireless to wired) secure data transfer. Utilizing a wireless network can save significant costs in installation and maintenance.
