TAIM WESER TO EXHIBIT WASTE TREATMENT EQUIPMENT AND SOLUTIONS AT EXPORECICLA 2009
TAIM WESER will participate at ExpoRecicla 2009, the International Exhibition for Industrial Recovery and Recycling, Waste Management and Waste-to-Value Systems, to be held from November 17 to 19 at the Zaragoza Trade Fair Centre.
The company will be located at Hall 7, Stand D-E 3-6, where it will showcase its extensive range of products and some of its waste treatment installations. Also on display will be a detailed model demonstrating the operation of an automatic turnover machine at an organic matter stabilisation plant.
TAIM WESER will participate, through its Waste Treatment business unit, at ExpoRecicla 2009. The 2nd edition of the International Exhibition for Industrial Recovery and Recycling, Waste Management and Waste-to-Value Systems takes place from 17 to 19 November at the Zaragoza Trade Fair Centre. The enterprise will occupy an exhibition area of 72 m2 (stand D-E 3-6, Hall 7) for the purposes of displaying its latest waste treatment innovations and facilities. TAIM WESER has vast experience in the sector and boasts a wide range of products and solutions covering the entire spectrum of the different waste treatment processes. This encompasses: mechanical-biological treatment, composting plants, facilities for recycling materials from all waste types, and refuse-derived-fuel (RDF) plants. TAIM WESER’s stand will also feature a model showing the operation of an automatic stack turning machine of the type that it develops and supplies for its waste treatment facilities. In addition, the enterprise will present visual material on the different MSW plants the company has worked on.
TAIM WESER technology for the new Vacarisses WTP in Barcelona
The company is currently installing a facility for the biological treatment of waste at the new Valls Occidental Municipal Solid Waste Treatment Plant in Vacarisses (Barcelona). At this new Ecopark, TAIM WESER is assembling a trapezoidal stack-type stabilisation plant for the organic fraction of municipal waste. The plant will have a treatment capacity of 245,000 tonnes per annum. The stabilisation process takes place in enclosed fermentation buildings using suction aeration. Each building is equipped with a fully automatic bucket wheel stack turning machine. The treatment produces an end product suitable for landscape restoration and gardening.
At the 2008 edition of ExpoRecicla, TAIM WESER’s imposing stand featured some of the machinery now being installed at the Vacarisses Waste treatment Plant. This included the double bucket wheel forming part of the automatic stack turning machines with which the facility is equipped. In addition to these two stack turning machines, the plant boasts two automatic loading systems, an unloading system and an aeration system. Subsequent to installation and the relevant tests, TAIM WESER expects the plant to come into operation in the first six months of 2010.
The Vacarisses waste treatment plant will have a total surface area of 43,900 m2. It will boast a waste treatment capacity of 245,000 t/a, while the treatment capacity for the organic fraction of municipal solid waste (OFMSW) will be 40,000 t/a. The plant is a Consorci de Residus del Valls Occidental initiative and is being built by the CTR Valls Occidental Consortium (FCC, URBASER, HERA).

ExpoRecicla is a highly specialised trade fair that brings together the waste recovery sector, authorised waste management companies, treatment and recycling plants, as well as technical experts and those with responsibility for environmental and waste management in private companies and institutions.
At the last edition of ExpoRecicla in 2008, over 120 direct exhibitors, occupying a display area of 8,000 m2, played host to 7,000 professional visitors.
