BACKGROUND
Yangtze Delta is the most prosperity area and the centre of Chinese processing industries, which contributes 1/4 of total GDP in China. This area is much internationalized, and the world famous enterprises have their factories and joint ventures here, they stimulate the progress of processing technology and product quality, which is closely related with powder technology and high quality of the powdery raw materials.
Powder processing and application of powdery raw materials are diverse in a very broad industry sectors. There are a lot of commercial and innovative opportunities between the user and supplier in different area. Two important things should pointed out: China needs the technology and
advanced machinery to support the rapid development of high-tech and infrastructure construction; more powdery raw materials want to open their oversea market in the developed countries, as the quality is getting better and better.
This convention will make a special chance for the powdery material processing factories, the user such as plastics and coating, the powder processing equipment maker and powder characterize instrument maker get together to exchange ideas, expand business area, look up potential customers.
Changxing is No. 25 in the top 100-richest-county in China, which has been the main powdery raw materials producer and distributor in Yangtze Delta, the total production of powdery materials is up to 6 billions RMB such as calcium carbonate, wollastonite, silica, nano-powder, and alumina
and so on. There are abundant botanical material to be processed such as bamboo, wood, tea and Chinese herbs. Powder technology is much needed to improve the product quality to meet the requirement of Chinese market, following the industry revolution in China especially after the
economic recession.

event once a year in the autumn, with the complementarity of “International Forum on Powder Technology and Application” in spring at Beijing.
POWDER TECHNOLOGY IN CHINA
The importance of powder processing technology has been recognized for the common processing technology such as crushing, classification, sieving, mixing, modification, separation, drying, feed-supplying, conveying, packing, and storing and so on. Better products is based on better powder, better powder is based on better machinery, better technology and management will make “made in China” better.
Powder raw materials have been widely applied to following fields such as new materials, traditional building materials, nonmetal mineral, energy, chemicals, metallurgy, medicine, food, textile, cosmetics, agriculture and environmental protection etc. The quality improvement of powdery raw materials is going on nation wide, such as size, size distribution, particle shape, surface morphology and so on. The maker and user of the powdery materials need to contact face to face, about the product quality and quality standard.
The economic recession changed the global industrial structure and forced the promotion of technology and product quality. As a processing technology, powder technology will play an important role in the industry structure adjustment.
