BulkSolids India 2010

International Conference & Exhibition on Storing,

Handling and Processing Bulk Solids and Powder

Call for Papers

Dear Reader,

The first BulkSolids India to be held in Mumbai from 2 -3 March 2010 will address the issues of handling, transportation and storage of bulk materials in the industry. With the growth of the Indian manufacturing and process industry, successful handling of bulk materials has assumed added significance. Some materials have to be handled within the plant in reasonably small quantity over short distance.

These may include food and pharmaceutical products. On the other hand materials like fly ash and cement are produced in very large quantity and have to be handled within the plant, transported to the user’s site and then again handled at the site for utilization. The thermal power plants in India produce close to 140 million tonnes of fly ash every year! The material handling system for this application has to be highly reliable. There have been instances where power generation units had to be shut down due to poor performance of the fly ash conveying system leading to build up of ash in the electrostatic precipitator hoppers. Storage of bulk materials in silos for varying periods of time is another very crucial area which has been a subject of much industrial concern.

BulkSolids India 2010 conference and exhibition will be a unique event which will focus on all aspects related to bulk materials characterization, handling, transportation and storage. The conference theme will cover important topics like ports handling and rail transportation. The power industry is looking for rail wagons which can bring coal from the mines and carry fly ash for mine filling on the return journey. These modes of transportation of bulk materials are thus in focus. This event is proposed to be held annually to provide a platform to share knowledge and ideas amongst the delegates. Close interaction between the industry and the academia will help the researchers to identify potential topics for practical

application.

It would be a pleasure to see you at Bulk solids India in March 2010 and I hope you will have an enriching experience at the event.

Dear Sirs,

It would be worthy for the following categories to participate in the in the Bulk Solid Seminar.

Manufacturers of Portable Silos for Cement.

Manufacturers of Portable packaging units for cement.

Manufacturers of Bulk loaders / Unloaders.

Ports are growing in India and the there is general deficiency in handling equipment . This leads to congestion.

I am certain that this would be a major crowd puller.

I request the organisers to consider this.

I am based out of Mumbai and would be pleasure to assist .

best regards
