The IDL-F is a digital vibrating wire loadcell and has a proprietary communication protocol. By far the cleanest method would be to purchase a conventional analog platform scale and place the feeder on top of it. The analog loadcell then can be connected to the amplifier of your choice for an A/D converter.

This method also works to replace other digital vibrating wire loadcells from K-Tron, or LVDT loadcells from Acrison or Thayer.

I believe you better call Brabender in Duisburg and get an analog replacement of the digital loadcell. Just specify you're feeder type and size. It will be easier to go this path I believe.

Selecting a loadcell is a process of finding the correct capacity and mounting. Just stay with the leading loadcell manufacturers - our favorite is HBM.

The IDL-F should have a nameplate listing the capacity (in Newtons).
