Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik minimizes incoming inspection problems by preventive screening of foreign raw materials

Running three production locations, the leading German provider of bulk materials contract processing services, Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik GmbH & Co. KG, is now offering a new kind of service, which is interesting especially for Asian customers.

In addition to a complete range of bulk material handling services, such as grinding, mixing, compacting, filling, refilling, as well as drying, storing and logistics, Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik now introduces a new service, supporting mainly international customers at fulfilling of the DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 standard – incoming inspection problems of many European purchasing agents being things of the past.

This is achieved by preventive screening of the material in the newly equipped screening centre, which is proven to be more effective and less cost-intensive, compared to laborious pre-tests.

The different screening plants are based on state-of-the-art technology, especially designed by Ebbecke, allowing even closed screening of hygiene products. These systems offer an optimum in operation efficiency, combining both exact separation and high throughput rates. Here is where the delivered material, mostly packed in bags or big bags, shows partly tough contamination with foreign objects like tools, mobile phones metal parts, chicken feathers, animal bones and many more. Those could at best lead to customer complaints, but if the worst comes to the worst, it could cause machine damages, which affect the quality of all daughter products or even disrupt the customer’s production process.

To eliminate risks like that in the first place, Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik ensures a certified incoming inspection according to the DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 standard, proven by a certificate after successful order processing. Additionally, preventive screening can be smoothly combined with other services, for example neutralization of the trading units or mixing with anti caking agents and other products.

The new screening system was introduced to the public during the POWTECH 2008 in Nuremberg, Germany.
