This kind of question can leave us standing on shaky ground.■
Specs To Design Screen
This would be a lengthy answer, time permitting.
But, before you could start to design any vibrating screen for any separation job you would need to know for starts:
1. All details of material being screened, TPH into screen unit, products to be made 1.2. or 3, PRIMARY SCALPING ONLY? MIDDLING SCREENING? fine screening?
2. need to know where it is being installed, to decide if ok to used an INCLINED SCREEN or for a tight spot maybe a FLAT OR HORIZONTAL, LINEAR TYPE SCREEN.
3. Need to know if we are DRY SCREENING OR WET SCREENING to remove dirt or fines from the material while we size.
4. Need to know how much MONEY a person has a budget for to decide what we can design into his system to fit his budget. VERY IMPORTANT
5. NEED to know if they need one or more screens.....if more than one may need to vary the speed on each to eliminate sympathetic vibrations between 1,2,5,10 screens on same structure.
6. AFTER GETTING ALL OF the customer wanted details....for the sizing JOB...then you must pick and or design a screen to fit that or those needs.
7. VIBRATING screens have been around for around 100 years.....many many many expert manufacturers have figured out all of the HARD thought provoking questions to be asked in all regards for everyone to access. NO NEED TO DESIGN any vibrating screen from scratch these days.
8. A VSMA book would be highly helpful to you....it has all the answers you need here. VSMA = VIBRATING SCREEN MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION. This is a total amalgamation of years of data....from 7 of thee BEST screen manufacturers in NORTH AMERICA. A very useful tool for you. .....can be found in past posts for ordering. ■
