Limestone Deposits

Erstellt am 7. Oct. 2008 - 11:57

Greetings and salutations

We need to know more about the location of the limestone deposits in question.

Are they surface deposits/ mountain/or underground?

If it is a surface deposit how thick is it? is it a horizontal or a vertical seam or seams folded in with shales?

How much overburden if any must be removed to allow for extraction? Will drilling and blasting of overburden be required to expose the seam?

If underground how deep is the seam in relation to the surface elevation and how thick is the limestone seam?

Are there other stone quarries or asphault plants nearby?

If you have no available market for the stone it is useless.

What about the quality of the stone? ids it good for quarrying

blocks for stonework?

What about the local work force if any?

What about local road conditions or utilities if any?

Is water available for dust control?

Are they in good condition and capable of tolerating a large electrical load or will a generator be the method of establishing electrical power?

Its fine to ask but we need more information if you want our help.

A good place to start is the "Engineering and Mining Journal" and placing a classified advertisment seeking investors for your properties as is commonly done there.

These are questions an international stone company such as Hanson or a banker such as Lloyds who knows anything about the rock business will ask you out in the open.

Unless a complete site survey and core drilling is done to verify the the size and extent of the deposit the the discussion with not grow fruit or interest.

Thank you so much Izaharis for the Information.

Regarding limestone deposits , there are many areas you can select. The deposits are in mountains and the volume ,im sure in millions of tons. In one island where limestone is also abundant, there is already large scale limestone mining operation operated by Chinese company and the main markets are chinese cement plant and nickel smelting plant in australia. In the other island , there is also large scale mining company operated by an Asian steel company for their iron smelting plant.Water, Electricity, road condition and labor is not a problem.Mostly, Limestone areas are near shoreline and approximately about less than a km from it.For grade of the limestone and other minerals available for mining operation in our country, just visit our page at www.exxusmining.com.

Greetings,

I guess the next step is to approach either Hanson in London or another mining firm for your deposits.

Hanson is one of the largest if not the largest producer of aggregates world wide.
