Kalenborn`S New Kalpoxy (Continued)
KALPOXY hardens at room temperatures of 20°C ° / 68° F quickly. The maximum application temperature is 80°C / 176° F.
The two-component KALPOXY system is offered in measured packages to warrant easy handling. The compound is prepared for use by intense mixing of the resin / hard compound and hardener at the specified mixing ratio.
KALPOXY can be used in all branches of the basic industry, in particular, where system components are jeopardized by the high abrasion of bulk materials.

Kalenborn`s New KALPOXY
Kalenborn Extends Their Range of Hard Compounds
KALPOXY Epoxy Bonded Hard Compound is Characterized by Excellent Abrasion Resistance and Easy Handling
For many years Kalenborn has produced a comprehensive range of hard compounds. While the KALCRET product group provides cement bonded materials well suited for application on large surfaces by trowelling, casting or spraying, Kalenborn has recently added KALPOXY, an epoxy bonded hard compound, to their range of products combining high abrasion resistance with easy handling.
KALPOXY is highly wear resistant and is rapidly and efficiently used for lining structural components and for repair measures. Good abrasion resistance is achieved after short curing periods.
KALPOXY has been especially developed to solve numerous wear problems that occur in actual practice. Almost any surface and shape can be reliably coated thanks to the very good handling properties and the high contact power. Overhead installation of KALPOXY is easily done as well.
The selective use of hard mineral materials (corundum) combined with the heavy duty epoxy resin matrix enable KALPOXY systems of differing layer thickness thereby ensuring an efficient and simple protection for locations that are subject to
particular stress.
The material can be worked at the job site by the customer’s staff with simple tools. After mixing, KALPOXY is applied at the desired thickness with the aid of a trowel and the surface smoothed, if required. It is not necessary to provide for reinforcing, e.g. in the form of a wire mesh.
