A chevron belt is used with material that must go up a steeper incline and will have the tendency to fall back so I do not think a scraper will work very well as it will wear the belt down faster and reduce the chevrons molded in the belt to almost nothing.

Why are you using a chevron belt?
Is it to acheive a higher conveying angle?
Is it to develop traction against slick-n-slide at cold weather handling of wood chips?
What is the conveyed material?
What is the design rate?
What is the conveyor lift?
What is the conveyor length?
What is the conveying angle?
Depending on the parameters a DSI Snake Sandwich high-angle conveyor may be a better solution. It uses all conventional conveyor equipment with smooth surfaced rubber belts that can be continuously scraped clean while able to convey at any high angle up to 90 degrees (vertical).

No problem,
You can use a brush cleaner, shaker roller,water spray cleaner and an air jet cleaner.
All are standard conveyor accessories.

we are planning to go for chevron belt instead of traditional flat belt conveyors. So can anybody guide me about what type of scrappers we can use in these type of conveyors.

Dear Sir,
In my opinion a brush type cleaner is the correct product when looking to keep Chevron Belts clean. Our ASGCO Chevron belt cleaner system has been successful in applications carrying Agg, Fertiliser, wood chip to mention a few.

It is a fact of belt cleaning life that any contact cleaner will induce wear,,,& that is on a flat belt even, If you put a contact cleaner on a cleated belt you will soon end up with a flat (smooth) belt & your start up will be affected. Washers, dryers & such are not justified on your small installation. Use a beater, after you've checked the dynamic behaviour of the structure. ■
